This notice explains what happens to the details you give us through this website, by email or by phone.

Who we are

Spruce Works is run by Adam Haines, trading as Spruce Works, in Dorset. Adam is responsible for your details. You can contact him at hello@spruceworks.co.uk or on 07505 658707.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form, we get:

• your name
• your phone number or email address
• the kind of work you need, and anything else you choose to tell us

If you become a customer, we also keep the address of the property and a record of the work and payments.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, and do the work you ask for. Our legal reason is that you asked us for a quote, and we need the details to give you one and carry out the work.

We do not sell your details. We do not send you marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Who else handles it

A few services help us run the website and our email. They only handle your details for us:

• Web3Forms passes the enquiry form on to our inbox.
• IONOS hosts our email.
• Vercel hosts this website. Like all web hosts, it keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

Some of these services may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

If you do not become a customer, we delete your enquiry after 12 months.

If you become a customer, we keep job and payment records for as long as the law requires for tax, usually 6 years.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or tracking.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them. You can also object to how we use them. Email hello@spruceworks.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
